Kwaidan Editions

For Kwaidan Edition designers, Léa Dickley and Hung La, the perverse, weird, and abnormal, are the starting points for all of their collections. For the FW21 collection, they focused on creating a wardrobe for their stunted heroine who is languishing inside her “Psychic House”, not dissimilar to many people’s experience of quarantining during COVID-19. In order to write their FW21 press release and develop their social media copy, we first had to go down the rabbit hole. We learned about their obscure references, such as the 1960 diary of a mistress who loved fetishwear, and their passion for latex. Speaking with them was akin to entering a new world that was surreal mirror to our own. It was such a pleasure to write their FW21 press release and share their unique perspective to the world.
